Here’s a nursing care plan on Gastrectomy. Gastrectomy is the partial or total removal of the stomach due to excessive bleeding and gastric cancer.

Gastrectomy is done mainly due to irreparable gastric damage. It could be because of excessive bleeding and a perforated stomach because of cancer or (PUD)peptic ulcer disease.

With gastrectomy, possible complications like Pernicious anemia, dumping syndrome and other GIT disturbances could arise after the operation.
